Consumer Guarantees Act
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
The laws of New Zealand apply to these Terms and Conditions. Any dispute arising in relation to these Terms and Conditions and your use of this site will be resolved in accordance with New Zealand law.
Changes to Terms and Conditions
We may change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Each time you use designscape.co.nz you are agreeing to the Terms and Conditions applicable at that time. We provide a link to these Terms & Conditions at the bottom of every page of the website.
You agree to indemnify, keep indemnified, defend and hold harmless Designscape Concepts Ltd t/a Designscape Art & Craft and its subsidiaries, affiliates and their respective officers, directors, employees, owners, agents, information providers and licensors (collectively the “Indemnified Parties”) from and against any and all claims, damages, liability, losses, costs and expenses (including legal fees) (whether or not foreseeable or avoidable) incurred or suffered by any Indemnified Party and any claims or legal proceedings which are brought or threatened arising from your use of, connection with or conduct on the website or any breach by you of these Terms and Conditions.
We reserve the right to increase or introduce new prices for our products and services at any time. In the event that a Designscape Art & Craft product is mistakenly listed at an incorrect price, Designscape Art & Craft reserves the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price, whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, Designscape Art & Craft will issue a refund to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price.
All prices are stated in New Zealand dollars (NZ$) and include Goods and Services Tax (GST). International purchases shipped to non NZ destinations are GST exempt. When paying by credit card the amount charged will be in New Zealand dollars, and your bank will convert the amount charged to the currency of the country the card is held in. International exchange rates fluctuate on a daily basis, but if you would like to know approximately how much you will be charged in your home currency, please refer to a currency converter of your choice or click here for the Yahoo Currency Converter.
Designscape Art & Craft offers $1 Rewards (also known as $1 Deals) when a qualifying spend has been reached. The $1 Rewards are our way of offering hugely discounted purchase rewards to our customers according to the total order spend. $1 Rewards cannot be used in conjunction with free shipping offers and are only available for purchases made via our website being shipped to New Zealand addresses. If you add $1 Rewards that you do not qualify for, we will only include $1 Reward purchases which your purchase does qualify for. As an example if your order totals $250, you could choose a $1 Reward from the $250 category, OR a $1 Reward from the $200 category and another $1 Reward from the $50 category, OR five $1 Rewards from the $50 category. At our discretion we may substitute any $1 Reward which an order spend does not qualify for.

No liability for damage
We will use our best efforts to keep designscape.co.nz free from viruses and errors. However, we do not accept liability for any damage or loss caused to your computer hardware, software, Internet connections or other peripherals as a result of your use of designscape.co.nz
All Designscape Art & Craft Club subscribers will automatically receive our "Update" newsletter. Our newsletter includes information on current specials, new arrivals and special product information. To subscribe simply selected the ‘subscribe’ option when placing your order. To unsubscribe, either reply to an email newsletter received or send an email to [email protected] with “unsubscribe me” in the subject line.

By using a credit card to purchase goods you warrant that:
- Credit Card
When you have finished adding items to your shopping cart on our website, you will need to proceed to checkout to complete your order. During the checkout process, you will be transferred to the secure Digital Payment Solutions (DPS) Payment Express gateway where you will be prompted to enter your credit card billing details.
- Direct Credit
Payment via direct credit (Telephone Banking, Internet Banking or Bank Deposit) into our bank account (Designscape Concepts Limited T/A Designscape Art & Craft) is always welcome, however you will need to ensure that you use your online Order ID (generated after checkout) as a deposit reference so we know who the payment is from and what it is for.
- Paypal ( non credit card funded paypal only - if you wish to purchase from us using your credit card, please choose our secure credit card payment option )
The Paypal payment service is available to many countries in the world, including New Zealand. If you choose this payment method you will recieve a confirmation email after checkout, containing the registered Paypal email address to use for making payment. If you are purchasing goods to be shipped to outside New Zealand, please wait for us to send you a quote and / or a Paypal invoice. You will need to ensure that you use your online Order ID (generated after checkout) as a deposit reference so we know who the payment is from and what it is for.
We can accept cheques by prior arrangement only and special conditions may apply.
- Gift Vouchers
Gift Vouchers purchased at face value through the Designscape Art & Craft website are redeemable against goods and shipping costs. If the value of your purchases are the same or less than the value of the vouchers being redeemed, simply choose the Cheque / Voucher payment option and post your vouchers to the address provided. If the value of your purchases exceeds the value of the vouchers being redeemed, you may either pay for the goods in full using your credit card then have the value of the vouchers refunded when they are received by us, or you may pay the difference by Direct Credit or Cheque.
- Free Gift Vouchers and $1 Reward Gift Vouchers
Free Gift Vouchers which are given away free of charge as part of a Designscape Art & Crafts giveaway or prize promotion or purchased as a customer reward for $1 cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer including but not limited to $1 Rewards or Free Shipping offers. These vouchers can only be used as payment for future transactions and are valid for 2 months from the date they are purchased.
If you choose to order online, you will be sent an automatically generated email to notify that we have received your order. This notice does not guarantee that the order is confirmed or approved.
- you are the legally named person on the card and the details which you have provided on the order are correct and valid.
- you are in the possession of your card at the time of ordering and you have not misplaced the card, nor has the card been stolen or cancelled.
- you have sufficient funds on the card quoted in order to complete the purchase.
- the order you are placing is a bona-fide order which you have every intention of completing.
Some products including special order items, Majacraft spinning wheels or custom products may have delayed delivery times. If your order is required for a special event, or to ensure the best possible fulfillment on your order, we recommend that you call or email us to reserve the products you require. Our Customer Service Representatives are available to discuss payment options with you and they will advise on delivery timeframes.
At our discretion, we may choose not to deliver to a Post Office box or any address which we deem to be suspicious. If goods are being shipped to a person or address that is not the same as the cardholder and credit card billing address, we may contact you for security purposes.
Your order will be despatched within 2 business days of payment being received, unless your order is a special order item in which case this will be discussed with you via phone or email prior to processing. Your order should take 2-5 days to be couriered to you providing stock is available at the time of ordering. We will inform you immediately of any delays. The entire time between your payment being received and your order being delivered should take no longer than 7 days. If you have left a birthday or gift purchase to the last minute and would like your order to be prioritised, please note this in the special instructions field so we can escalate the processing of your order and despatch via an urgent shipping method. Please note that urgent shipping may incur additional costs, which you will be notified of prior to despatch. Please refer to our Shipping Page for further details.
Designscape Art & Craft orders are always despatched using reputable delivery companies and couriers with strict delivery policies and schedules, and customers will be advised when orders are despatched and wherever possible tracking information provided. It is very rare for things to go missing, however if you are concerned that this may have happened, simply send us an email with your order number and we will immediately follow up with the delivery company involved.
Should you feel that your goods do not arrive in good condition, don’t hesitate to let us know, we do not sell products with damaged packaging without first advising you of this, so if your items arrive in damaged packaging we need to know about this. When signing for packages please check the small print as to what you are signing, some courier tickets have in small print “received in good order and condition”, which when signed would void any later claim for damage. In these circumstances, either ask the courier to wait while you open and inspect the goods or simply write ‘subject to inspection’. It is important that goods are opened and inspected promptly after delivery, as most courier companies have tight limitations on claims after delivery. We do not accept responsibility for Customs charges or duty, or Customs handling of goods.
If your order requires your signature on delivery, you must be available to receive your order in person when it arrives. If your unavailability leads to the deliverable goods being returned to us, then all shipment costs will be payable by you. We are not responsible for loss or damage to goods that are delivered to an address which has been supplied incorrectly.
Returns and Refunds
Please choose carefully as we are not obliged to accept returns or exchanges on products purchased through our website other than for faulty goods. Returns or exchanges on non faulty goods will be at our discretion. Exchanges for another size or colour will be accepted where available by prior arrangement. Exchanges or returns where you have simply changed your mind or the goods are not suitable will be accepted if the goods are in unused condition and in original packaging, however at our discretion this may incur a 15% restocking fee.
For broken or damaged goods, please phone or email us and whenever possible, we will repair or replace any damaged or faulty goods, providing the damage is not caused through misuse. If repair or replacement is not possible, a full refund will be issued for the value of the damaged or faulty goods. If the goods have been damaged by the delivery company, please ensure you retain all packaging and take good photographs of the damage and packaging if possible. If it is obvious on receipt that the packing is damaged, we highly recommend inspection of the goods before signing for them. In the event of damage in transit, a claim for compensation from the delivery company will be lodged, and once the damage has been investigated and the claim accepted we will repair or replace the damaged goods or if the goods are no longer available. If repair or replacement is not possible, a full refund will be issued for the value of the damaged or faulty goods.
In any event, all returns, whatever the reason, must be by prior arrangement. Please contact us and you will be issued with a Return Authorisation reference which must be included with your return.
Unfortunately, your postage charges on returns are not refundable.
International Customers, please be aware that any customs charges or conditions applicable in your state/ locality/ or country are your responsibility. Any customs duties, sales taxes and other regulatory charges are payable by the purchaser.
Online security is paramount at Designscape Art & Craft and we understand just how important it is to you too. This is why we have made your security our primary concern. We do not receive, store or process your credit card billing details. All credit card transactions are seamlessly handled entirely by third party Digital Payment Solutions (DPS) Payment Express, the Visa accredited and bank approved secure internet payment gateway.
We have done our best to give accurate product descriptions and photos. Occasionally packaging or products are changed by the manufacturer. We will update our information as we become aware of this.
Designscape Art & Craft uses a secure credit card system supplied and hosted by Digital Payment Solutions (DPS) for processing credit cards. All online credit card payments are processed by DPS. Designscape Art & Craft does not have access to, or store your credit card number when you make an online purchase.
The other personal information you may submit when placing your order is treated as confidential. Your details are used solely for the purpose of fulfilling your orders. Please note that we may maintain some information about an individual sales transaction in order to service that transaction and for record keeping as required by our bank.
You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser (like Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer) settings. Each browser is a little different, so look at your browser Help menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies. If you turn cookies off, you won't have access to many features that make your browsing experience more efficient and some of our services will not function properly. However, you can still place orders over the telephone by contacting customer service.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information except for our website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, to enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others' rights, property, or safety.
